I love this time of year. It’s chilly outside, which requires extra layers of clothing (minus socks, because I despise socks with every fiber of my being) and warm drinks.
The trees are turning brilliant colours and everyday the scenery is different. I love the vibrant oranges and reds that fill the sky.
Christmas is just around the corner (I know, freak out a little bit). Another time that is filled with family and warm moments spent watching snow fall.
This Thanksgiving I was able to spend with both my family and my soon to be family. We had a massive turkey dinner and I’ve only come out of my turkey coma this week, which is why it took forever to blog about it. As we all stuffed our faces, I thought about how lucky I am to have a fantastic, loving family who isn’t afraid to be silly and laugh together over who had the most punch or why Gram cut the pieces of pie so big that they were painful to try to finish.
I’m thankful for my amazing fiance Craig, without whom I think my head would literally fall off and conveniently loose itself forever. We’ve been engaged for almost a whole year, which is phenomenal to me, and with each day I find myself growing more in love with him and his family.
Most of all, this year I am so thankful for being able to have the opportunity to pursue a career that I love. Over the past year I’ve met so many amazing people who have inspired and mentored me in the direction that I want to go in. I’m thankful for everyone who has asked me to capture their special moments. I’m also thankful that I can see a future in what I love to do.
Some of these pictures are terribly out of focus, too dark, grainy, blurry, you name it. But I love them just for the moments. 🙂
Thanksgiving only comes once a year, but it’s so important to always be thankful. 🙂
