Emily – Fredericton Portrait Photography

A little over a week or so ago I had the pleasure of meeting up with Emily on the St. Thomas University campus in Fredericton for a little photo shoot. After a week of almost non stop rain I was so excited to be outside shooting, even if it was a little overcast.

Emily and I attended High School together and she went on to take an arts degree at St. Thomas and is studying with the intention of becoming a librarian. It’s always kind of nice to see where the people you went to school with went and what they’ve been up to and Emily was no exception. She was beautiful and vibrant and down for any crazy idea that I might have.

We decided to take some pictures out around the campus and then we decided to move into the Harriet Irving Library so I could take more “lifestyle” shots. It was interesting for me in the sense that I had to take hallways full of books and make it seem interesting and beautiful. We then moved into the Lord Beaverbrook room and let me just say, that is one of the most beautiful rooms with the most gorgeous light that I have ever been in and I would kill to shoot a bridal party in there.

Emily was an amazing model (I literally had to ask if she had been practicing). She flirted and “smi-sed” the whole way through our session and laughed at all of my terrible jokes. I really hope that you can see her joy and beauty in these photos. Thank you, Emily, for making my job easy.
